Welcome!

During the first four months of 2011, we will read and discuss four different books - one each month.  Check back here in January to find out what the first book will be!

Special thanks to the Jackson R-2 School District Foundation for supporting this effort; we appreciate the grant we received allowing us to buy multiple copies of these books so more students could participate!

  1. I just finished reading "Bruiser" today and I truly enjoyed it. I found it to be a thought-provoking quick read that is perfectly suited to either boys or girls. From start to finish, this book will hold your attention!

  2. All of our copies of Bruiser at the Junior High and the Senior High are currently checked out. I'm almost finished with the book myself, and I'm looking forward to "hearing: what you all have to say about the book!

  3. Neal Shusterman fans will not be disappointed. Bruiser is a page turner that will appeal to both guys and gals. I sat down with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning and could not put the book down! Relationship issues common to many teens will make this book an interesting read for junior and senior high students.

  4. Bruiser took me through a rollercoaster of emotions: pity, pain, tenderness, dismay, and yes - spots of humor. Can't wait to hear others thoughts.
